place the crust into the prepared pan and use a measuring cup to press it down
pack it down tightly and make holes using a fork and then bake the crust until golden brown
place all the caramel ingredients into a pot and cook until your caramel reaches "hard ball" stage
spread caramel over the baked crust working quickly before the caramel cools
pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer
spread out the chocolate in an even layer
chill until solid and then let the bars come to room temperature before cutting and serving
