Not only does January signify my birthday but it also means it’s time for all the winter fruits like grapefruit and lemon. So contrary to how summery this drink may look, I like to think it’s actually a winter beverage.

I kind of love anything sparkling which is why my alcoholic drink of choice is Prosecco or fizzy rosé. If you are like me and love your bubbly drinks, you will enjoy these Sparkling Strawberry Peach Sorbet Rosé Floats. Get them here.

What you will need to make this Healthy Grapefruit Rosemary Lemonade Sparkler

This healthy grapefruit rosemary lemonade sparkler is a fizzy water mixed with freshly squeezed juice to make a perfect soda alternative. I squeezed mine by hand and it was fairly simple so if you have a citrus reamer, you are in luck!

After I hand squeezed my grapefruit and lemon into a bowl, I used a fine mesh strainer to remove any seeds or pulp. I stirred in my sparkling water and then poured my fizzy new drink into a serving glass. Add ice and rosemary sprigs for garnish and you have a healthy and tasty fruit soda. I prefer mine on the tart side and not too sweet. If you feel you need more sweetness, you can add agave or stevia to taste.
