Although I made these last Tuesday at 12 noon, I figured what better day to share this recipe than Sunday-Funday. A day to relax in the pool with the girls and I can’t think of anything else I want in my hand than this Sparkling Strawberry Peach Sorbet Rosé Float. It’s a mouthful to say but trust me…it’s worth it.

This adult beverage is super easy to make with just 5 ingredients. The sorbet is made using just fruit, agave and lemon juice for a lightened up version of the classic dessert and no ice cream maker needed. The sorbet is a simple no-churn recipe.

This is my very first alcoholic beverage recipe on my blog! Yay. It’s mostly because I rarely drink and when I do it’s always wine…like always! I can’t even remember the last time I had something other than a glass of rosé or prosecco (I really enjoy bubbly wine). Anyway, if you are looking for more adult drinks on my site, I’m sorry but I don’t have any. I do however have some other sweets that will cool you off in the summer heat. Check out a couple of my popsicle recipes below.

Sparkling Strawberry Peach Sorbet Rosé Floats

Ingredients

    for the sorbet
  • 4 ripe yellow peaches
  • 1 c strawberries
  • 2 tbsp agave
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
    for the float
  • 1 bottle sparkling rosé

Instructions

    for the sorbet
  1. Remove the pits from the peaches and stems from strawberries and then roughly dice into 1” cubes. Transfer them to a freezer bag or freezer-safe container and allow them to freeze completely.
  2. Once they are frozen, remove from freezer and let them defrost for 10 minutes then transfer to a food processor or high speed blender. Add the agave and lemon juice to the processor as well then blend until smooth.
  3. Next, transfer the blended strawberries and peaches to a freezer safe container and then smooth it down with a spoon or spatula. Seal the container and place in the freezer for 1-2 hours.
    assembly
  1. Remove the sorbet from the freezer. If frozen solid let thaw for 10 minutes. Use a cookie scooper or ice cream scoop to drop 2-3 scoops of sorbet into serving glasses. Top with bubbly rosé and serve immediately. Garnish with a strawberry and mint leaves if desired.
